Rustic Beams

Our rustic beams make a great addition to any interior or exterior project. Our beams can give a vintage wood look to any interior, whether they’re featured as ceiling beams with wide plank ceiling paneling for a fully rustic design or used as accents in a modern kitchen. We can make our wood beams look like they have markings common for reclaimed barn wood, such as nail holes, and saw marks, plus a natural patina created from years of exposure to the elements. Each beam is recycled from old-growth timber, meaning it has worn-in durability. At Graber Millworks we offer hand-hued, hand-scraped, or distressed rustic beams up to 24′ long. Regardless of your choice, these antique wood beams can be used for various projects, including ceiling beams, fireplace mantels, and faux support beams.

Custom Profile Molding

Our expert woodworkers can recreate original moulding profiles in virtually any wood species to meet all styles in days — no minimum footage required.

At Graber Millworks, we believe in the preservation of history. Our community is rich with architecture dating back hundreds of years. Our team is dedicated to recreating these ornate details through our custom mouldings services.

We also know that today’s styles are different than they were hundreds of years ago. And we are on board with the changing times. That’s why we also help create modern finishes for innovative high rise buildings and new custom homes. Whatever style you need to achieve, we can adapt and provide a solution.

Curved Molding

At Graber Millworks,  we supply beautiful curved moldings at an affordable price. As the demand for curved moldings has increased we have become one of the top suppliers of curved molding in our area. Our curved moldings can be made of any species of wood and we carry all standard profiles and can match any custom profile you may desire. We use only the finest kiln dried lumber and our curved moldings can be shipped nationwide.

Baseboards

In architecture, a baseboard (also called a skirting board, skirting, wainscoting, mopboard, trim, floor molding, or base molding) is usually a wooden or vinyl board covering the lowest part of an interior wall. Its purpose is to cover the joint between the wall surface and the floor. It covers the uneven edge of flooring next to the wall; protects the wall from kicks, abrasion, and furniture; and can serve as a decorative molding. At Graber Millworks we are able to customize to any style of baseboard that you are looking for to give that look that you have always wanted.

Curved Handrail

Curved railing systems require bending handrails. These are handrails that are shaped from multiple individual splices that can be glued and bent to match virtually any curved stairway or floor-level balustrade. Due to the inherent properties of hardwoods, bending handrails can typically be used only on stairways with a radius of 36” or greater and level bends of 48” or greater. While all of our handrails are designed for comfort some are larger than others and if this is of particular concern perhaps a mid to small-dimension profile would best suit your needs.

Curved Landing Tread & Treads

A landing tread is a type of stair part that is used either under a floor-level banister as a shoe rail or around an intermediate landing of a stairway.  In banister applications, it is the board on the floor, and balusters and posts are installed on top. It creates a border between the finish flooring and the balustrade itself.  In applications where a landing tread is used on an actual stair landing, it creates a border around the landing.  It is also commonly called Bullnose Moulding, although these are two slightly different versions. In situations where solid treads and risers are being used, the stair landing tread creates a border around the landing that matches the tread nosing to keep the appearance consistent.

Box Newels

Newels are the anchor of a stairway. A newel post serves as a support pole that helps bear the weight of the rest of the stairway. Newels are always found at the foot of a flight of stairs and you will also find newels at the top of the stairway in order to maintain symmetry. Further, newels are placed at junctures where the stairway changes directions. So for every change in direction on the stairway, whether it’s a transition to a level landing or a 90º turn, you will need a newel to complete that turn. Newels differ from both balusters and intermediate posts that span the space between the newels.

Stairway Parts

Here at Graber Millworks, we pride our products being created from scratch using high-quality lumber sourcing. We embrace the beauty that is the natural variation of wood. We don’t consider smooth knots or a variation in grain, pattern, or color a defect. These natural variations in wood species create a genuine character for each and every product. A defect is considered to be a hole or split in the wood. If you are concerned about variation, we recommend considering one of our dark stain options, as these tend to cover a lot of the natural characteristics of the wood. We are able to customize any stairway part that you may need.

Interior Doors with Custom Jamb Sizes

A pre-hung door consists of a door hung on hinges and assembled in a wood frame (the frame is also called the door “jamb”), with a door stop. A pre-hung door is ready to install in the door opening, with no on-site assembly required. This reduces construction time and scheduling and lowers project cost. If the pre-hung door is also pre-finished, this further reduces steps and costs in the construction process. Graber Millworks not only manufactures the highest quality doors but also offers optional pre-hanging of the doors. Factory pre-hanging ensures that hinge pockets are mortised square and precise and that hinges are always flush on the door and frame. Hinges are included in the price of pre-hanging and are available in a selection of metal finishes.
